Dr. Mitchell Lucas is our full time vet and founder of TLC for Pets. Dr. Lucas graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1986 and began practicing in the Baltimore area in 1987. Dr. Lucas is married with three kids, four cats, a golden retriever, and a blue-tongued skink (lizard). Dr. Lucas enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Joy Goode joined our practice part-time in 2008, with over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine. With a second vet, we have been able to open up more appointment times and keep your wait to a minimum. Our long term clients have been happy with the consistent care their pets have received when Dr. Lucas is not available.

Ana, Paula, Vickie, Donna, and Amy are our veterinary technician crew, with many years of experience. Their areas of expertise range from emergency medicine to dental care. Several have RVT certification and advanced training. Our technicians compassionately attend to the needs of your pet and are easily accessible to help you as well.

Sarah is our professional groomer with over five years of experience. She meticulously attends to your pet, and our clients love her work. Sarah also helps as a part-time receptionist and technician.

We are also happy to have Kristen our head receptionist and Jessica our college pre-vet experienced assistant. We are proud that 2 of our previous assistants are now vets. We also gladly welcome some of our former employees who fill in occasionally and bring their pets here. Misty, a fulltime OR nurse, still helps on Sunday mornings and has been with TLC over 10 years.
